A brief history and background on the web site as it had been started in 2002.
All about our web site
This
web site publishes a method of basic and small Catholic web site
development, as a response to the call of John Paul II in
his 36th World Communications Day Message of May 12, 2002.
It is a method free for all Catholics interested to join
the lay Catholic mission on the internet.
Site history
This Catholic web site is an offshoot of a list founded in http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thespiritslove/.
From this list, the network evolved into several domains: starting from
www.pcentral-online.net, then www.gospel-and-culture.net, and also www.gospel-and-culture.info.
Now, it is founded in www.c-web-developer.net. This site obtained its
inspiration from the call of Venerable John Paul II to "go out into the deep
of the Net" to proclaim the gospel of Christ. This call was documented in
a Message given May 12, 2002. Since then, the site has followed all the
World Communcations Day Messages also written by the present pope, Benedict
XVI. One important message from the present pope is to evangelize the
"new digital continent" by promoting a culture of dialogue, respect, and
friendship.
The main services of the site are tutorials and basic methods used
for small Catholic web site development. All SEO (ethical Search
Engine Optimization) techniques required to make a site visible in
the search engines, is taught from the point of view of writing
Catholic articles and blog posts.
This web site teaches web development to Catholics for free.
Your continuous and loyal patronage of the web site's services
is the support the site needs to grow the WCD mission and
apostolate on the Web. If you have benefitted from the
web site's resources and services, kindly refer us to members
of your family, your friends, and your Catholic social network.
Your good word about the site will help the World Communications
Day Messages of John Paul II a concrete reality on the Web.
